About
Stefania Palmeri

Stefania Palmeri, RD

Stefania Palmeri is a Registered Dietitian (RD) with a passion for counseling and education. Her interest in food and nutrition began early on, rooted in her Italian family heritage and love of science.  Stefania holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) with honours and Master of Health Science (M.H.Sc.) in nutrition communication from Ryerson University. She also completed a dietetic internship at North York General Hospital in Toronto, with particular focus on pediatric feeding difficulties.

While in her studies, Stefania had the opportunity to design and complete two research projects.  Alongside her research partner at North York General Hospital, she studied the rates of nutrient deficiencies in children with autism and bowel issues.  As a Master’s candidate, she continued to focus on pediatric care, examining the way nutrition messages are communicated in children’s storybooks.

Stefania takes a non-diet approach that focuses on nourishing the body and building a lifelong, healthy relationship with food. While she has specialty in pediatrics, autism care and sensory feeding issues, she continues to support clients of all ages. Stefania is a member of the Dietitians of Canada, the College of Dietitians of Ontario, and currently works at the Scarborough Health Network (Centenary Hospital). She has also worked across a variety of outpatient care settings including The Medcan Clinic, North York General Hospital (alongside the late Dr. Glenn Berall) and Downsview Services for Seniors (now Lumacare).
